Tips for a successful home sleep test

  • Put everything on about 30 mins before you’re ready to go to bed.

    • Follow your normal bedtime routine.

    • We’re not looking to change any habits during the home sleep test.

  • Put the finger probe (oximeter) on your non-dominant hand.

    • Ex: If you’re right-handed, place the sensor on your left hand.

  • The nasal cannula (oxygen tubing) screws clockwise onto the silver post on the top of the test unit.

  • A green plus (+) indicator that does not turn off after a couple minutes means the blue belt is not attached correctly. Disconnect and reconnect the belt to reset.

  • The button on the front of the device is also the OFF button, don’t hold it down unless you are ready to end the study.

  • Be sure to wear the device for at least 6 hours each night you use it.
